Why you can trust Tuno
Tuno sits on your computer and helps you with private things, so it's fair to want to know who we are before you let us anywhere near it. Here's the honest answer, in plain words, with the bits you can go and check for yourself.

Both of these are public registers run by the UK government and the regulator, not by us. Look us up whenever you like.
We are a real, registered UK company
Tuno AI Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 17337203. That's a public record, so you don't have to take our word for any of it: the links in the box above go straight to the official registers, and our full registered details are in the small print at the bottom of every page on this site.
We are registered with the ICO
The Information Commissioner's Office is the UK regulator for how organisations handle personal information. Any company holding personal data has to register with them, and we have. Our registration number is ZC216010, and you can search for it on the ICO's own website. Being registered isn't a stamp of approval; it means we are on the record and accountable to a regulator.
Where your information is kept
Your account and your conversation history are stored in the UK. Some of the AI work that makes Tuno understand you happens elsewhere: voice is processed on Microsoft servers in the European Union, and the AI that reads and answers your typed questions is run by its maker, Anthropic, whose computers can be in the United States. All of this is done under the legal protections required for it, the words are used in the moment rather than kept, and none of our AI providers use your information to train their systems. Things we simply don't do
We don't sell your personal information, to anyone, ever. We don't run advertising cookies on this website. Tuno doesn't take pictures of your screen. When you ask about a web page, the helper passes that page's words across for that one question and doesn't keep them. Your card details go straight to Stripe, who handle the payment, and we never see or store your full card number.
We can't read your conversations without leaving a trace
Your conversations with Tuno, and the things it learns about you, are stored encrypted. Our own team can't casually browse them: opening them takes a deliberate request with a written reason, it switches itself off after 40 minutes, and every single time it happens it's recorded permanently. You don't have to trust us on that, because you can check: the My Tuno portal shows you every time support has accessed your private data, and what they said the reason was.
The software is signed with our name
When you install Tuno on your PC, Windows will show Tuno AI Ltd as the publisher. That signature is the thing to look for. It's how you can tell the software genuinely came from us, and not from somebody who has made a copy and put our name on it. If you ever download something claiming to be Tuno and Windows shows a different publisher, or no publisher at all, don't install it, and please tell us.
There's a person at the end of it
We're a small British company, and you can reach us. Support questions go to support@asktuno.com or through the help centre. Anything about your personal information, including asking for a copy of it or asking us to delete it, goes to privacy@asktuno.com. If you do ask us to delete your information, one honest caveat: we keep a small, strongly encrypted record of conversations and safety checks for up to a year, for legal claims only. It can't be read day to day and is destroyed automatically. We'd far rather you asked us something twice than sat worrying about it.
And what Tuno isn't
Being straight with you matters more than sounding impressive. Tuno isn't antivirus software, and it can't promise to catch every scam. It isn't a way for your family to monitor you or take over your computer. What it does is give you a patient second opinion so you can stop and think, and the decision always stays yours.
We're a new company, and we'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. Tuno is being finished off now, and it will be available to people living in the UK first.
